Open Source Licenses

Photuna Booth App is built with the help of open source software. This page lists the open source components we distribute with the application, the licenses they are provided under, and how to obtain their source code.

1 FFmpeg

Photuna Booth App includes FFmpeg, which is used to assemble the short motion clips shown in online guest galleries.

The version distributed with the application is FFmpeg 6.1.1, licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 3 or later (GPL-3.0-or-later).

FFmpeg is a separate program. It is executed as an independent process and is not linked into, combined with, or derived from Photuna Booth App. Photuna Booth App itself is proprietary software and is not covered by the GNU General Public License.

A copy of the GNU General Public License is included with the application as ffmpeg.exe.LICENSE, and is also available at gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.html.

2 Written Offer for Source Code

The complete corresponding source code for the FFmpeg build distributed with Photuna Booth App, including the configuration used to produce it, is available for download at:

Alternatively, for a period of three years from the date you received the software, we will provide a copy of the corresponding source code on a physical medium, for a charge no more than our reasonable cost of physically performing the distribution. To request this, write to support@studiophotuna.com and include the version of Photuna Booth App you are using.

This offer is valid to anyone who receives a copy of Photuna Booth App, and is made in fulfilment of our obligations under the GNU General Public License.

3 Other Components

Photuna Booth App also includes components distributed under permissive open source licenses, including the MIT, BSD, Apache 2.0 and ISC licenses. These licenses permit redistribution as part of a proprietary application and require only attribution, which is provided here.

Notable components include Electron (MIT), React (MIT), fluent-ffmpeg (MIT) and supabase-js (MIT).
